Questions for Students & Teachers Regarding DEAR Time 1. What is your perception of how DEAR time is being used at SHS? How purposeful is it? Are students reading, chatting, doing other school assignments? 2. Do you think that the length of time or frequency of DEAR time should be changed? (Should it be once a week instead of once a month? Should the time be longer, 20 or 30 minutes instead of 10?) 3. Would you prefer DEAR time at the beginning of end of the period? Beginning End 4. Would you prefer DEAR time at the beginning of the school day or at the end? Beginning End of day 5. Would you like to see the "silent" taken out of sustained silent reading during DEAR time, so that activities such as partnered reading, literature circles, etc. may be included? Yes No
